Auckland to Noumea or Fiji Race / 1,160 Nm / 13 Days / Cat 1 Ocean Race

The bi-annual race from Auckland to either Noumea, New Caledonia (990nm) or Denarau, Fiji (1,160nm) and yet to be confirmed, is a fantastic ocean race that will take us from the start line in the Auckland Harbour in New Zealand, north into the Pacific Ocean towards warmer weather, as each winters day passes and the miles to tick down, in the direction of a Pacific Islands finish line.

This is a true Category 1 Ocean Race, with many a tale of tough conditions and adverse weather faced by crews in the previous editions of these two epic ocean races.

What awaits our crew is a race finish and warm Pacific welcome in either Noumea in the beautiful French New Caledonia, the doorstep to some of the remotest and most beautiful anchorages in the world or beautiful Fiji, the most popular Pacific Island destination for sailors and travellers alike. This race is organised and conducted by the Royal Akarana Yacht Club in partnership with the finishing host club.
