The first Grenada Sailing Week event took place in Jan/Feb 2013 and over the past years, it has become firmly established. The number of participants has increased, courses have been fine-tuned for more challenging racing, classes have been added to accommodate a larger range of yachts, and a variety of venues have been selected to showcase the island of Grenada.
Grenada Sailing Week takes place annually the last week in January / first week in February. This highly anticipated regatta kicks off the Caribbean sailing season with the cool trades of the winter months in the beautiful blue waters of Grenada. Open to everyone, it is four days of fun and exciting racing against some very competitive boats, six nights of fabulous parties and a lay day (with dock parties) usually held between two host marina showcasing the best Grenada has to offer. The spectacular final night party is an up-scale event with a great vibe held under the stars. After prize-giving participants and party goers can dance the night away with the sand between their toes to local artists and performers.
Grenada Sailing Week still retains its West Indian Charm and is known for its great camaraderie between skippers and crews, drawing sailors from all over the world, many returning year after year to ‘Spice It Up’ in Grenada.
