THE FORMER PRINCE OF BRITTANY, A UNIQUE MAXI-TRIMARAN!
Faster & easier to handle
Since her transformation, the boat is composed of three new hulls integrating the latest shape evolutions, as well as DFI Incidences sails. This modification of the hulls has enabled her to reach better speeds and to turn faster in light winds.
A maxi-trimaran of 80 feet
Launched in 2012, the trimaran was born from the extrapolation of a 60-foot platform, an ORMA trimaran, which made her gain 20 feet. It took two years for the designers & builders to come up with a model which could push back the limits of ocean racing!
This trimaran is therefore recent and in almost new condition.
A unique boat
This giant of the seas, combining power, lightness, robustness and comfort, is a true work of modern art. Built entirely in Nomex carbon and 24 meters long, this multi-hull has the weight of an 18-meter boat!
A perfect sailing ship, for professionals and beginners
The Ultim’Emotion 2 is a unique racing boat by her weight-power balance and her 100% hydraulic operation.
It will guarantee you speed, even in light winds thanks to her weight (only 7 tons !); and an outing full of thrills!
As ocean racing is a sport too often reserved for the best sailors,
Antoine Rabaste has decided to create the company Grand Large Emotion in 2010.
We offer you the opportunity to discover & train yourself in this sport by being guided by professional skippers.
You will have the opportunity to steer the trimaran, take an active part in the manoeuvres and sail on the ocean at more than 30 knots!
An ideal outing to learn how to sail a sailboat and to experience the emotion of sailing a maxi-trimaran!

A multi-hull is not very conducive to seasickness, especially if you follow these tips: eat, drink, protect yourself from cold and heat. We advise you to eat properly before boarding. Not too heavy or too fatty but with enough food. It’s also important to drink enough water. Eating and drinking properly are some of the essential elements to prevent seasickness. Bottled water is available on the boat. During full-day cruises, catering will also be offered.
For those who wish to come with a camera, we advise you to put them in a plastic bag (a freezer bag is ideal) in order to protect them as best as possible from humidity and spray.
You can store on board, under cover, a bag of reasonable size.
Yes, bad weather is not enough to cancel the trip. If the weather conditions do not guarantee the safety of navigation (too much wind and/or too much sea) or in the case of a total absence of wind, the trip can be cancelled. Cancellation/postponement can occur at the last moment if the situation has deteriorated in an unforeseeable way. We endeavour to inform participants 24 hours in advance in the event of cancellation. We advise you to choose transport tickets and/or hotel nights that can be changed or cancelled.

How many people can board the Ultim'Emotion trimaran?
The trimaran is approved for 18 people. However, in order for each “skipper for a day” to steer the trimaran and participate actively in the maneuvers, we generally limit the sessions to 10 people.
I want to offer an outing, how can I proceed? Our outings are perfect for the first time on a racing boat: an outing on a racing trimaran is ideal for the sail-lover father/husband or for the wife/daughter who enjoys sailing and strong emotions! If you want to offer this outing, you can now book a “gift pass”. This allows the beneficiary to choose an outing date. We will then forward a gift pass, on glazed paper, by mail or email. You can personalize the pass, with a little word of your choice.Contact us, we will be pleased to guide you! What do you mean by « Skipper for a day »?Our outings are not just strolls. These are real initiations to racing navigation, and you are part of the crew for half a day or a day. You will be able to participate in the manoeuvres, sail at more than 30 knots* and take the skipper’s place to steer our Formula 1 of the seas.
*If weather conditions allow.I'm a beginner in sailing sports. Is a minimum level required?Anyone can come aboard to live the Emotion: experienced sailor, enthusiast, but also novices.
