Product Description

The Volvo Ocean 65 is a One Design class, there are only 8 boats of this class in the world. Designed and built for the 2014-2015 edition of Volvo Ocean Race, they sailed across the world twice- in the 2014-2015 edition and the 2017-2018 edition.

Sailing Poland is the former MAPFRE boat, which finished on a second place in the last edition of the Volvo Ocean Race. This boat was created for facing the toughest conditions of the Southern Ocean, has highly advanced technologically onboard and has spartan conditions inside.

The entire set of sails on Volvo 65 Sisi are produced by North Sails using their patented 3Di technology. the sails are made of RAW760 Ultra PE/Aramid. According to the class rules, carbon can not be used in the sails. carbon can restrict the satellite connection. A novelty to the Volvo 70’s are the outriggers. They make it possible to move the sheeting point of the headsail outwards. The Volvo 65 often sails triple-headed, i.e. with three headsails, which creates a deep sail pressure point with maximum sail area.
